1. If ever your soul whispers you towards sin
Then beware God's punishment, for it is severe
١. إذا ما دَعَتْكَ النَّفْسُ يوماً لِريبَةٍ
فحاذِرْ عِقابَ اللهِ فَهوَ شديدُهُ
2. A young man's patience for what he desires is lighter
Than his patience against what he does not desire
٢. فصَبْرُ الفَتى عَمَّا يُريدُ أخَفُّ مِنْ
تَصَبُّرهِ كرهاً لِما لا يُريدُهُ
