1. Oh that my possessions were utterly destroyed,
And that the hopes of gain from them had departed.

2. I have had my fill, and more than my fill, of them,
Yet neither did I profit from them, nor take joy in them.

3. I made a bad choice in choosing rewards from You.
The sin is mine, in ignorance, while You are sinless.
