1. Oh dwelling, do not be a place unvisited
And forsake those who come to you striving

2. Are you surprised to see me indebted
When fate has taken both far and near

3. Many times have I filled my hands in this life
Yet never have the insolent coveted my giving

4. No alms are due on wealth I've held
