1. You are my obligatory and additional prayers,
You are my talk and preoccupation,

2. O my direction of prayer when I stand up to pray,
Your beauty is the object of my eyes,

3. To it I have directed all of me,
And your secret is in my conscience,

4. And the heart is the place of manifestation.
I saw a fire in the living, at night, so I gave good news to my family,

5. I said: stay, perhaps I will find guidance, perhaps.
I drew near to it, and it was

6. The fire of the Speaker before me.
I was called loudly from it:

7. Return the nights of connection and my prayers!
Until when the appointed time drew near

8. In the gathering of my reunion.
My mountains became crushed

9. By the awe of the Manifest.
And a hidden secret appeared

10. Known to those who were like me.
And I became the Moses of my time

11. When some of me became Ali.
So death in it is my life

12. And in my life, my killing.
I am the indigent endowed with meaning—

13. Have mercy on my state and my humility.
