1. My beloved, today's sigh has passed
So after no water, a prolonged sigh
١. خَلِيليَّ هذي زَفْرَةُ اليَوْمِ قَدْ مَضَتْ
فَمَا بَعْدَ مَيٍّ زَفْرَةٌ قَدْ أُطِلَّتِ
2. And if sighs had meant to kill me
The one to come would kill, the one already gone
٢. وَمِنْ زَفَرَاتٍ لَوْ قَصَدْنَ قَتَلْنني
تَقُضُّ التي تَأتي التي قَدْ تَوَلَّتِ
