1. If people worshipped the best among them, O Mahdi
None would be worshipped but you.
١. لَوْ يَعْبُدُ النَّاسُ يَا مَهْديُّ أَفْضَلَهُمْ
مَا كانَ فِي النَّاسِ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ مَعْبُودُ
2. Your generosity has become legendary -
Nay, legend itself is modeled after your generosity.
٢. أضْحَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِنْ جُودٍ مُصَوَّرَةً
لاَ بَلْ يَمِينُكَ مِنْها صُوِّرَ الجُودُ
3. The earth glows radiant from the beauty of your face,
And water flows in rivers from your elegance.
٣. مِنْ حُسْنِ وَجْهِكَ تُضْحى الأرضُ مُشْرِقَةً
وَمِنْ بَنَانِكَ يَجْري المَاءُ في العُودِ
4. If but a mustard seed of your light
Were cast upon the black, the black would whiten.
٤. لَوْ أَنَّ مِنْ نُورِهِ مِثْقَالَ خَرْدَلَةٍ
فِي السُّودِ طُرّاً إذاً لاَبْيَضَّتِ السُّودُ
