1. I repent to Allah the Merciful, for He
Is forgiving of a person's sin unless he repeats it

2. And I will not, as long as I live, return
To frivolity, nor follow the words of the stubborn fool

3. How could I, when I have given my Lord solemn covenants
Return to them, with Allah of the Throne as my witness?

4. I will leave them condemned, I will not taste them
Even if the noses of my enviers are rubbed in them
