1. I see you with an eye that none can see you with
Except one whose wisdom was renewed

2. And he who saw you with an eye that lies not
Saw what after which all else are nations

3. Among men there are folk whose deluded thoughts
Show them the sun at noon as pouring down hailstones

4. I am not one of them, God forbid, they
Are dubious in what they pass on, and blessings be

5. Rather, you show me, my geometry, the sun geometrically
In truth embodied in a form of greatness

6. He who is adorned with the eye that beholds you
From where your magnificent person is not concealed

7. You have filled my breast with majesty, O Abu Hasan
To which the pillars and columns bow down

8. So whenever I try to meet you, you seat me back
With that before which no leg nor foot can stand

9. Nor is that unprecedented or wondrous
The feet of servants thus fear the lords

10. When will I kiss a palm of yours that has not ceased being
A pillar to be kissed for blessing and acceptance

11. For people, in every mystery of theirs
Is a valley on whose edges blessings pour
