1. We left for you your world and bowed down
With us are aspirations that were above the tombs

2. If you got shares of it, your souls have become
Blameworthy in sights

3. You dressed some of you with the dress of disgrace
And stripped them from the dress of praise

4. So if the tongues of a group bragged about generosity
You gnawed on pettiness with the deafness of frozen rocks

5. You called yourselves kings over us while you
Are slaves to what the utensils contain

6. And you enabled your chins over your necks
As if you were the sons of Yahya ibn Khalid

7. So if necks were extended for your good
You would adorn them with necklaces lying down

8. When does Wahb hope for heavy rain while you
Are the owners of the paths of supplies

9. You have kept us away from the waterholes of many
And drowned in its abundance every disbeliever

10. And you revived the religion of the cross and started
Rebuilding structures and demolishing mosques

11. And nullifying what Caliph Ja’far
Chose as attire for every obstinate

12. And you empowered a lion treasures preserved
By giving up honors and preventing appointments

13. So everything you have shown of your deeds
Is evidence of the corruption of lineages

14. You have a blessing that has become due to your narrow chests
Absolved from every praise and praiser

15. You have earned ease and your stinginess has earned you
Continuous disgrace that does not perish

16. So if it disappears from you, its disappearance
Renews grants upon every glorious

17. And if Wahb's hand was more stingy than your hands
On stinginess than his generosity with permanent things

18. The gentle rain would have stayed over the healthy
More pouring than the flashing lightnings

19. And the forehead of the afflicted highborn would be marked
He will take revenge on every corrupt
