1. Praise be to Allah, O Abu Hasan
Of abundant blessings and favors

2. You have denied me the meadows of leanness and denied
People the meadows of fatness

3. You presented my praise to be said about him
He went astray, straying the straying of weeping in abasement

4. I beseeched you, O Abu Hasan
In sanctity that was not disgraced or dishonored

5. He who clings to it does not turn away from you
And his fortune is the fortune of the worshipper of idols

6. Complaining to you not displaying his complaint
To you but the complaint of time

7. And whoever complained of his time complained of you, and does
The soul suffice apart from the body?

8. You are the one who time was disposed by
So you, if blamed while in an eon
