1. I blamed the full moon in its orbit
Bestow the good fortune of the saint from his kingdom

2. I blamed it while fortunes were averse
So I repelled its savage nature in its polytheism

3. After it let me down and surrendered me
Willingly to fate - its guarantees and talents

4. I called out to fate in the name of its divider
So fate was defeated while in its doubts

5. Al-Qasim, Al-Qasim, the gentle one, when
The udder of the milch camel loses hope in its milk

6. Abu Al-Hussein, by whom the sultan regained
His authority after losing it and it perplexed him

7. A young man with a splendid appearance and tested character
Which God created from the jewelry of His orbit

8. Mature in years, great in knowledge
Shrewd before his time of shrewdness

9. He takes on the twisted nights with it
A lion avoiding the lions in their wrestling

10. He derived manners from its calmness
Which were agreeable and the derivations of intelligence from its movement

11. He combines two opposites from his majesty
In every heart and gentleness of its path

12. His opinion firmly made up, not chaotic
His determination resolute, not confused

13. He has attained what youth has of most beautiful
Beauty and what old age has of wisdom

14. So he is the delight of the eye when it sees him
And the most judicious opinion after its contention

15. Proclaim his rule and the rulers together
And do not conceal him for fear of its violation

16. A brother of remarkable deeds as if
The flowers of night jasmine are patterned on its veins

17. Whose fortune is shared, not an exclusive possession
Whose glory is gained, not shared

18. Who donates wealth, does not withhold it
Who preserves honor, does not violate it

19. Inquiry is sweet to his hearing though
“Yes” remains sweet on his palate

20. As if the raindrops are from his benevolence
And the lightning from his good tidings and his smile

21. He has not made betrayal a brother of loyalty
Since the time of its betrayal or pact

22. A nature that the days never cease to keep sincere
And virtue in his attribution

23. How many good deeds of his have been publicized
As much as his angel could manage of his kingdom

24. His generosity has made me live in abundant
Comfort, so I enriched those seeking my shelter

25. In an abode, blessed be every desert
From its basin, and the seas from its pond

26. Every brilliant morning makes me thrive in it
The attainment of swift favor reaching me

27. I battle the heat in its curling locks
And the cold in its roughness and coarseness

28. If the sea were mine, its obtainer would
Swim in its ship and in its fish

29. Oh son of Ubayd Allah, oh son of Abu Al-Qasim
Who cured the sultan of his affliction

30. Oh son of the judicious minister whom
The enemies' noses spite despite their gathering

31. Oh son of one whose feats
Became smiles of fate, not its laughter

32. The unifier of kinship after its separation
The connector of ties after their severance

33. My gratitude to you is an obligation I have not fulfilled
And I am not in a state to neglect it

34. Take it, willingly coming to you
Like the voluntary flow of love in its fervor

35. Your favors are camped in my abode
And the poetry in its text and composition
