1. I share, O you who has never ceased to be of nobility
With seriousness and devotion unlike any other

2. I came to you, determined, weighed down
For you carry every burden

3. And I need you to grant me favor and to see
My place without condescension, a place of heights

4. And for the favor granted to be swift
Often you see it's too small for me

5. And to meet me trying my best
As one who helps the sinner and frees the killed

6. And to take care of me if my path goes astray
With the gentleness of a caring doctor to the sick

7. And so when I bow my head like a servant
You watch over me with the eye of an intimate friend

8. And extend shade for me and keep it
For no shade of goodness is fleeting

9. And in this is the sum of my determination though
It is so great except to each noble one

10. And that I deemed you able to bear it
An influential intercessor with every noble one

11. And my soul did not stop purifying its fruits
And giving them to you, not in miserly fashion

12. And deems the ample share insignificant, measuring it
By your worth, O granter of all things plentiful

13. Did you not see that when a petitioner became small
The dashed hopes of the disgraced became small

14. I prided myself on a soul that did not cower in fear
That you would treat me with acts that are not base

15. My speech grew long in my appeal and maybe
You saw the long speech as not lengthy

16. And I have no peer in stipulating my conditions
Yet you are the loving one without a peer

17. If goodness was a tradition of your fathers
Then one like you would not forsake it

18. Otherwise be the first for me to enact it
For you have always guided without proof

19. I exalted you above all other doers of it
So do not accept what is less that, as substitute

20. So that God, truth and passion may say
Beautiful is the one who performed every beautiful deed

21. And I am not mistaken in what I sought
Nor am I impossible in what I have said

22. And how can I be sparing in asking you after
You opened every path of goodness
