1. Though faults I overlook, correcting them,
When speech brings lapse of memory to mind

2. I let go grudges I held fast before
And overlook what had offended me.

3. I turn a blind eye to all wrongs I see
To watch for what good or ill may find

4. I pardon friends their wrong with clemency
Repaying harm with constant acts of kind

5. Remembering two goods for each misdeed
When I recall my brethren's sins, I'm blind

6. Not for my fathers and their glory's sake
But justice holds the balance in my mind
