1. Tell Abu Ali's parrot,
Our astrologer poet,

2. Entertainer, singer,
Writer, mathematician, teacher,

3. The great philosopher,
Rambler, wanderer, determined,

4. Soothsayer, priest, opponent,
Supporting Iblis against all Muslims,

5. The one-eyed, blind, meeting
Evil's backside at every fore,

6. O parrot face that saw a cloud
So urinated lengthwise and said "burst!"

7. A face purer than a head
Crunching from its cracked skull,

8. No sooner did it appear one day
Than a destroying hand desired it,

9. And some said, more than a few,
As if it were Sheeqbarqum's head,

10. Ibn 'Arus' head and Numus' face
So slap the soles and stomp!

11. O son of crickets I saw
Flying, caught in a palm,

12. Still standing before that for the man
In every criminal's house,

13. Dung beetle, dung frequenter, ugly one
Whose filth is prohibited,

14. Who offers food in public
At all times to Muslims,

15. And all say "Congratulations!"
None would accept mounting her with intent,

16. If you're a dog I see you noble
When you ride your passion and commit,

17. And saddle the honored ship
Before the coming of calamity and persist,

18. And write upon your outstretched self
The purposes of nobility, Lord of Peace,

19. For my arrow is no stray arrow
Rather my arrow is a kindling flame,

20. Begin with the ill praise and end
