1. The breaking of the fast has come as a friend,
While fasting has passed, a commendable companion.

2. Fasting has gone while telling you of devotion,
And the breaking of the fast has come telling you of generosity.

3. And the two are never disloyal to you, by my life,
Rather they uphold their covenants.

4. And you will remain with them and they will return
As you wish them to return again and again.

5. May God make the lives of those who oppose you short,
And make your life long.
