5. He said it was distraction
And God warded off its harm

6. I said alas with a sip
That I tasted, so bitter

7. Since you tasted it, you complain
To God of its bitterness

8. He said yes, by Him who ordained
My palms folded and hurt

9. I said the repentance of a man
Who disobeyed himself and was dutiful

10. Tasked himself beyond his capacity
And ignorantly harmed himself

11. Then sincerely repented
Bowed and dragged himself

12. Souls truly benefit
From what once harmed them
