1. When the right of one who was barred from a spring
By some debris in it that prevented him

2. Indeed, he has the right to have it cleared for him
That he may indulge at the resonance satisfied

3. God never decreed to cut off the provision of a man
Excellence and virtue never decreed to cut it off

4. And He taught you that all enmity
Its renown will be spread in its assembly

5. And that is but the punishment of a man
Who saw the sword in the sheath its place

6. You denied the sustenance which you never ceased
To bestow with your generous palm

7. So if you are a protected Muslim
For the words of enemies I do not waste it

8. Then hasten with the sword that you may conceal
The shame if you are able to kill him

9. Did we surrender to evil six
While you used to pity us four
