1. And those crying out for help after the Caliph, protect him
Abu Ahmad al-Mahmoud among the bedouins and the settled folk

2. So who will convey on my behalf to the successful Hashim
The lion cub of the Abbasids, of glory and pride

3. And the keeper of the covenant of the Muslims which tomorrow
Will be feared and hoped for, for the magnificent command

4. I swear if you abandon your Guardian
The Guardians will surely be corrupted by the hand of fate

5. If abandonment of the supporter is his reward
Then what can the giver of support hope for from support?

6. Will the supporter enjoy the Islam of his Guardian
And his protection of him with chest and throat?

7. That one refused that the yield resembles its seed
For the yield is of the essence of the seed

8. And the Guardian's betrayal of a man is an opener
For his loyal followers to the door of betrayal

9. You have shaken me, so rage with a Ja'fari rage
Which will be stirring against the enemies

10. And do not cease crying out to your supplicant
Who journeys by the roads on land and sea
