2. My hands have filled with bounty and my heart with affection
That have overflowed unto the grudgers and the chest

3. If I attained a gift, had it not been from you
I would despair of ever getting one till the end of time

4. For you gave generously, and only the acquisitive
Has hope of getting little from the petty giver

5. But you are the man who has never ceased to have
Returns of kindness and abundant gifts

6. You make attain, he who without you would lose all hope
And you give to those whom giving brings respite from poverty

7. So let not the envious think a single cloud
Has shaded the palm of your hand, stopping its rain

8. Or that a day with you denies what the next would bring
Even if what you gave today was plenty

9. Your gifts are like torrents, some facilitating the way
For others' course, through rough and smooth terrain

10. When a section of it digs with the earth its bed
Its channel is cleared for another like a sea
