1. Criticizing fault is itself a fault,
No doubt in what I have said,

In which some grey appears.

3. So let people overlook it,
Their censure of it is unseen.

Despite his faults or fate.

5. How many find fault in everything!
All that is in it is fault.

6. The pocket is a tail for him
For gems, and the tail a pocket.

7. Beware O son of Buwaib
Lest Buwaib be provoked.

8. I am a fierce lion
While you are a fox.

9. Do not scorn a youth
For many a youth has led.

10. Do not think an ignorant one
Has a tied tongue.

11. The Romans excel in poetry
More than the Arab has done.

12. O you who deny their glory,
Is not among them Sahib?
