1. Your absence from my bedside brought me no harm last night,
And had you returned, you would not have cured me.

2. You are not the one whose return brings healing from illness,
And whose absence causes death.

3. By God, you are not the one, if you were to blame me or bear me a grudge,
As when you blamed me, you did not tyrannize.
