ูˆุฒุงุฏูŽ ุฌุฏู‘ูŽูƒ ุฅุณุนุงุฏุงู‹ ูˆุฃุจู‚ุงูƒุง

2. The clouds water, yet you resemble them,
Though none resembles you in watering.

ูข. ูŠุณู‚ูŠ ุงู„ุณุญุงุจู ูุชุญูƒูŠู‡ ูุชุดุจู‡ูู‡
ูˆู„ุง ูŠุดุจู‘ูŽู‡ ุณู‚ูŠุงู‡ ุจุณู‚ูŠุงูƒุง

3. You sprinkled water one day, and you have breathed
Throughout the whole year nothing but water from your palm.

ููŠ ุนุงู…ู‡ู ูƒู„ู‘ูู‡ ุจุงู„ู…ุงุก ูƒูู‘ุงูƒุง

4. You did not intend, by holding back the dew, to keep
Your wealth for yourself, but only to restrain your sorrow.

ูค. ูˆู…ุง ุฃุฑุฏุชูŽ ุจุฅุบุจุงุจ ุงู„ู†ุฏู‰ ู‚ุณู…ุงู‹
ุฅุฌู…ุงู…ูŽ ู…ุงู„ูƒูŽ ุจู„ ุฅุฌู…ุงู… ุญูŽุณู’ุฑุงูƒุง

5. You held back the sorrow of your hands which had become
Heavy on the shoulders until they hurt.

ูฅ. ุฃุฌู…ู…ุช ุญุณุฑู‰ ุฃูŠุงุฏูŠูƒ ุงู„ุชูŠ ุซูŽู‚ูู„ุชู’
ุนู„ู‰ ุงู„ูƒูˆุงู‡ู„ ุญุชู‰ ุขุฏู‡ุง ุฐุงูƒุง

6. So that they might rest, and by their rest, increase
The surplus of bearing what your right hand gives away.

ูฆ. ูƒูŠ ูŠุณุชุฑูŠุญูˆุง ููŠุฒุฏุงุฏูˆุง ุจุฑุงุญุชูู‡ู…
ูุถู„ูŽ ุงุถุทู„ุงุนู ุจู…ุง ุชูุณุฏูŠ ูŠู…ูŠู†ุงูƒุง

7. You never grew weary of gifts, so took repose
By holding them back. No! They grew weary of your gifts.

ุฅุบุจุงุจู‡ุง ุจู„ ู‡ู…ู ู…ู„ู‘ูˆุง ุนุทุงูŠุงูƒุง

8. You did not prevent them from the pasture, though its seal
Was but the Shepherdโ€™s mark of your pasture.

ูจ. ูˆู…ุง ู†ู‡ุชู’ู‡ู… ุนู† ุงู„ู…ุฑุนูŽู‰ ูˆุฎุงู…ุชูู‡
ู„ูƒู†ู‡ ุฃุณู†ู‚ูŽ ุงู„ุฑุงุนูŠู† ู…ุฑุนุงูƒุง

9. People pondered what you had arranged for them and found
It was for them, not for wealth, that you made provision.

ูฉ. ุชุฏุจู‘ูŽุฑูŽ ุงู„ู†ุงุณู ู…ุง ุฏุจุฑู’ุชูŽู‡ู… ูุฅุฐุง
ุนู„ูŠู‡ู…ู ู„ุง ุนู„ู‰ ุงู„ุฃู…ูˆุงู„ู ุจูู‚ูŠุงูƒุง

10. You held back your sword, vexing their cravings,
And you were neither miserly nor grudging in withholding.

ูกู . ุฃู…ุณูƒุชูŽ ุณูŠู’ุจูŽูƒูŽ ุฅุถุฑุงุกู‹ ู„ุฑุบุจุชู‡ู…
ูˆู…ุง ุจุฎู„ุชูŽ ูˆู…ุง ุฃู…ุณูƒุชูŽ ู…ู…ู’ุณุงูƒุง

11. Yet I think well of you, and my heart tells me
That you have excelled in bounty and in plenty given.

ูกูก. ู‡ุฐุง ุนู„ู‰ ุฃู†ู‘ ุธู†ูŠ ููŠูƒ ูŠุฎุจุฑู†ูŠ
ุฃู† ู‚ุฏ ุฃุชูŠุชูŽ ู…ู† ุงู„ุฅูุถุงู„ ู…ุฃุชุงูƒุง

12. And if you sported awhile with sprinkling water,
I do not see it turned you from kindness.

ูกูข. ูˆุฅู† ู„ู‡ูˆุชูŽ ุจู†ุถุญู ุงู„ู…ุงุก ุขูˆู†ุฉู‹
ูู…ุง ุฃุฑุงู‡ ุนู† ุงู„ู…ุนุฑูˆูู ุฃู„ู‡ุงูƒุง

13. Rather, you kept the custom of play at its feast,
And never once turned aside from doing good.

ูกูฃ. ุจู„ ู‚ุฏ ุฃู‚ู…ุชูŽ ู„ุนูŠุฏ ุงู„ู„ู‡ูˆ ุณูู†ู‘ูŽุชู‡ู
ูˆู…ุง ุนุฏูˆุชูŽ ู…ู† ุงู„ุฅุญุณุงู† ู…ุฌุฑุงูƒุง

14. No business diverts you from the business of dew eternally
Except a like one, part of your pious duties.

ูกูค. ู„ุง ุดุฃู†ูŽ ูŠูู„ู‡ูŠูƒ ุนู† ุดุฃู†ู ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุฏูŽู‰ ุฃุจุฏุงู‹
ุฅู„ุง ู†ุธูŠุฑูŒ ู„ู‡ ู…ู† ุดุฃู†ู ุชู‚ูˆุงูƒุง

15. I used to err, congratulating you
Upon festival and New Year.

ูกูฅ. ู‚ุฏ ูƒู†ุชู ุฃุฎุทุฆู ููŠ ุฃูŠุงู…ู ุชู‡ู†ุฆุชูŠ
ุจุงู„ู…ู‡ุฑุฌุงู†ู ูˆุจุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽูŠุฑูˆุฒ ุฅูŠุงูƒุง

16. More fitting than that were congratulations
To them, from me, if we had met, on you!

ูกูฆ. ูˆูƒุงู† ุฃุตูˆุจูŽ ู…ู† ู‡ุฐุงูƒ ุชู‡ู†ุฆุชูŠ
ุฅูŠุงู‡ู…ุง ุจูƒ ู„ูˆ ู„ูู‚ู‘ููŠุชู ู‡ุฐุงูƒุง

17. For time in which you live to reach it, O son of nobles,
Is blessed, through your life, and highly favored.

18. So now my congratulations go to New Year
And Festival, should they chance to visit you,

19. Thanking you that undiscouraged by impiety
You magnified their status beyond all compare.

ุนู† ุบูŠุฑ ู…ูŽูŠู’ู„ู ุฅู„ู‰ ุงู„ุฅู„ุญุงุฏู ุญุงุดุงูƒุง

20. You did not do this for their sake out of your religion,
But for your lifeโ€™s sake, from a worldly cause.

ู…ู† ุจุงุจู ุฏูŠู†ูƒ ุจู„ ู…ู† ุจุงุจู ุฏู†ูŠุงูƒุง

21. They almost equaled the two Feasts, since they were marked
By the brand of two days of your pleasures.

ูขูก. ูƒุงุฏุง ูŠู‚ุงุณุงู† ุจุงู„ุนูŠุฏูŠู† ุฅุฐู’ ูˆูุณูู…ุง
ุจูˆุณู…ู ูŠูŽูˆู’ู…ูŽูŠู’ู†ู ู…ู† ุฃูŠุงู…ู ู…ูŽู„ู‡ุงูƒุง

22. They are no festival prayers, but they are holidays
For whoever is honored by your neighborhood.

ูขูข. ู„ูŠุณุง ุจุนูŠุฏูŠู’ ุตู„ุงุฉู ุบูŠุฑูŽ ุฃู†ู‡ู…ุง
ุนูŠุฏุง ู†ูˆุงู„ู ู„ู…ู† ูŠุนุชุฑู‘ู ุฌุฏูˆุงูƒุง

23. At their dawn, when seriousness mixed with play
Comes to you, you see it as your familiar companion,

ูขูฃ. ู„ุฑุงุญุชูŠูƒ ุฅุฐุง ูˆุงูู‰ ุตุจุงุญูŽู‡ู…ุง
ุฌูุฏู‘ูŒ ูˆุฃู†ุช ุชุฑุงู‡ ู…ู† ู‡ููˆูŽูŠู†ุงูƒุง

24. Giving the craved gifts playfully, jesting,
While you enliven, amidst the jokes, your dissolution.

ูขูค. ุชุนุทูŠ ุฑุบุงุจูŽ ุงู„ุนุทุงูŠุง ู„ุงุนุจุงู‹ ููƒูู‡ุงู‹
ูˆุฃู†ุช ุชูุญูŠูŠ ุฎู„ุงู„ ุงู„ู‡ุฒู„ ู‡ูู„ู‘ุงูƒุง

25. So your festival and New Year have become
Alike, in pious menโ€™s eyes, and your Feasts.

ูขูฅ. ูู…ู‡ุฑุฌุงู†ููƒ ูˆุงู„ู†ูŠุฑูˆุฒ ู‚ุฏ ุบุฏูˆุง
ุณูŠุงู† ุนู†ุฏ ุฐูˆูŠ ุงู„ุชู‚ูˆู‰ ูˆุนูŠุฏุงูƒุง

26. For in both every kindness you are its doer
On your day of Fastbreaking or your day of Sacrifice.

ููŠ ูŠูˆู…ู ูุทุฑููƒ ุฃูˆ ููŠ ูŠูˆู… ุฃุถุญุงูƒุง
