1. O Lord who grants destinies, All-Powerful,
Just as you grant wealth and blessings,

2. Grant me from fate what the enemy attributed to me,
Denying all that he piled up and claimed.

3. Make him submit to me, for he has made me submit to him,
And increase his submission, if he has caused submission.

4. And I do not deserve a fortune that you bestow upon me
Out of generosity, but grant it to me generously.

5. O You who saw that his destiny surpassed his talents,
So nothing is too great, even if it is great.
