1. A fart came from our Berideen,
So I sent it on its way.

2. Thus the family of Wahb deserved their virtue,
The first son inherits it from the last.

3. They went with eloquent tongues,
And their masters stubbornly stubborn.

4. And they left behind a righteous successor,
No transgressor strayed from their purpose.

5. O Abu Hassan, what a fart!
It left Al-Samir entertained.

6. With it you increased a poet's wit,
And brought out talent in one who was no poet.
