1. God has indeed afflicted Yunus son of Bugha
With the affliction of the prophet Yunus before him
١. قد بلى اللَّه يونسَ بن بُغاءٍ
ببلاءِ النبيّ يونسَ قَبْلَهْ
2. The whale swallows some of him every day
If only it would swallow the poor fellow whole
٢. يبلعُ الحوتُ بعضه كلَّ يوم
ليْتَه يبلعُ المسكينَ جُمْله
