1. The demands of this world are honorable to every person of dignity,
Yet the demands of this fleeting world are insignificant.

2. It is the will of God that it be made easy,
Thus its demands are foolish to the ignorant and stupid.

3. So one who is knowledgeable and experienced
Cannot avoid meager food or elegant drink.

4. And the ignorant one is lost in its distractions
Of pleasing sounds or graceful sights.

5. Blessed is justice in dividing it
Among creation in ways beyond accord.
