1. Abu Hassan, the rope of patience
Is not endless, it has an end

2. Whether you are kind to the grateful
Or apologize to the blamer

3. There is no apology if you have betrayed me
That is the act of a deceitful man

4. If you keep delaying until
Boredom and frustration overcome me

5. And you hear from me what you don't like
In the words of a desperate angry man

6. And I say to the first inquirer
I stopped at ruined ruins

7. I travelled with feeble hope
And returned with fading hope

8. You started blaming me excessively
To make me seem guilty outwardly

9. And you said, a man failed his patience
Though my patience on the patient was long

10. So do not go down this path
For you cannot comprehend my mind

11. An excuse can be stolen from the stumped
But an excuse cannot be stolen from a poet
