1. O mourner of the son of Allah's Messenger among mankind
And announcer of his name among nomads and settled folk

2. You have mourned a man at whose death
The pillars of religion and world were endangered

ููุงุนุฏู ุงูุฏูู ูุงูุฏููุง ุนูู ุฎุทุฑ
3. You have mourned a man, no glory was attained
Except through him, and through him it progressed to the grave

ูุฉู

4. You have mourned a man I never thought
Would be mourned except by the swooner of sun and moon

5. Had anything of his appointed term been missed
The flowers of stars would have faded, all faded

ููููุฏูุฑ
6. O mourner of Allahโs Messengerโs son, rejoice
You have uttered the greatest of the great

7. Hear it though our hearing rejects it
Hearing is for mourners and bearers of good news

8. Do not gloat and remember your freed ally
Your faces, O Abbasids, are dust-ridden

9. Swords are the death of every determined one
Who meets death with determination, unwavering

10. To Allah belongs Yahyaโs determination, where did he aim it?
Had it escorted him the length of his life

11. O Prophetโs sons, does not a tyrant cease
Leaving you as islands upon islands?

12. O Banu Utaylah, may Allah fold your throne
How much blood of the Prophet you have shed

13. O Banu Utaylah, restrain your ignorant zeal
Let not the sword be unapologetic amongst you

14. If you make us grieve with an arrow from our quivers
You have amongst you one best informed

15. Or if fate ordained against us regarding him, you remain
Vilified, defamed, upon defamation

16. He still strikes you with the sword for honor
Until you submit with humiliation and smallness

ุจุงูุณูู ุนู ุนูุฑูุถู
ุญุชู ูุฃุฐุนูุชูู
ู ุจุงูุฐู ูุงูุตุบูุฑ
17. He left you as morsels for all people
Debased, never losing your debasedness

ุฐูุฉ ุงููููุฑ
18. And each day for you is like its dawn
For us and a willing sword, undeterred

19. Thus no full-moon of kingdom beamed for us
Except that its like followed, unexpected

20. Our protection is ready, swords bared
Its edges are scarcity of the mighty lion

ุฌุฑุฏุฉู

ุณุชุฃุณุฏ ุงูุฃุดุฑ
21. When the tyrant snarls, our clemency
Is the healing of his snarling, of that ridge
ูขูก. ุฅูุง ุฅุฐุง ุตุนููุฑ ุงูุฌุจุงุฑ ุตูุญุชููู
ุดูุงุกู ุตูุญุชูู ู
ู ุฐูู ุงูุตุนูุฑู
22. With our swords and us you attained your positions
Not with the freed ally of weakness and vileness

ุฑุงุชุจูู
ูุง ุจุงูุทููู ุญูููู ุงูุนุฌุฒ ูุงูุฎูุฑ
23. Verily the swords that destroyed your ancestors
Are our swords, and with them we destroy the tyrants
ูขูฃ. ุฅู ุงูุณููู ุงูุชู ุฃุฑุฏูุชู ุฃูุงุฆููููู
ุฃุณูุงูููุง ูุจูุง ููุฑุฏู ุฐูู ุงูุจุทุฑ
24. Prepared for you whenever their blades were bared
For we are the sons of that forbearing clan

ููุญู ุฃุจูุงุก ุชูู ุงูุนูุตุจุฉ ุงูุตูุจูุฑ
25. Allah has purified us of the days of ignorance from
Your fathers, so they saw clearly the place of sight
ูขูฅ. ุฌูููู ุจูุง ุงููููู ุชูู ุงูุฌุงูููุฉู ุนู
ุขุจุงุฆูู
ูุงุณุชุจุงููุง ู
ูุทูุฑูุญ ุงูุจุตุฑ
26. And this is a second pretentious ignorance
Through us the obvious sins are exposed
ูขูฆ. ููุฐู ุฌูููุฉู ุทูุฎููุงุก ุซุงููุฉู
ุจูุง ุชููุดูููู ุจุงูุฎูุทูููุฉ ุงูุณููู
ูุฑ
27. To you belong idleness and death of renown, not ours
Have you not heard of us in all pursuits?

ุนุชู ุจูุง ูู ุณุงุฆุฑ ุงูุณูุฑ
28. Our infant has a stand that appalls the elders
And his sword amongst them is firmer than fate

ู ุงููุฏุฑ
29. No sheath concealed a sword of ours nor did
Its lightening cease from foes and neighbors

ุฏู ููุง ุจุฑุญุช
ุถุฑูุจุชุงู ู
ู ุงูุฃุนุฏุงุก ูุงูุฌูุฒุฑ
30. We seek the house of glory none can rival
The highest ramparts fortified with ramparts
ูฃู . ูุฃูู ุฅูู ุจูุช ู
ุฌุฏู ูุง ูููุงุกู ูู
ุฃููุช ุจู ุงูุณูููุฑุฉ ุงูุนูููุง ู
ู ุงูุณูุฑ
31. The Prophet extended his ties to us, so they became
Like the Pleiades hanging with brilliant stars

ุฏูู ุงููุจููู ููุง ุฃุทูุงุจู ูุบุฏุช
ู
ุนููุงุชู ุงูุนูุฑูุง ุจุงูุฃูุฌู
ุงูุฒูุฑ
32. From those who cling to the banner of knowledge he has
A group that does not stray for an instant

ู ุขููุฉ

ุนุชูููู ููุงุกู ุบูุฑ ู
ููุชูุฌูุฑ
33. Whoever visits us, Allah presents his present to him
Let alone one present with him and on deathbed

ู ุฒุงุฑูุง ููู ุฃููู ุงููููู ุญุงุถุฑูู

ู ุญุงุถุฑ ููู ูู
ุญุชุถูุฑ
34. Whoever one day holds fast to our probity
Grasps a strong rope without any doubt

ุณูู ุจุญุจู ู
ุชูู ุบูุฑ ุฐู ุบูุฑุฑู
35. For us is intercession and the running cistern, for us
And we are those exclusively sanctified and purified
ูฃูฅ. ููุง ุงูุดูุงุนุฉ ูุงูุญูุถ ุงูุฑูููู ููุง

36. O day of Yahya, you have given life to one veiled
Whose loss is greatest for people till end of time

ูุญูู ููุฏ ุฃุญููุช ุฏุงููุฉู
ุฏููุงุกู ูููุงุณ ุชุจูู ุขุฎุฑ ุงูุนูุตูุฑ
37. You breathed life on the living of Yemen
And Rabi'ah and the living of Mudar

ู ุฑุจูุนุฉู ูุงูุฃุญูุงุกู ู
ู ู

38. Your loss encompassed all people of earth
Leaving none with breath untouched

ูุฐุฑ
39. Save those whose corruption mends people
Like dogs, revived by the rain

40. By Allah, had his Master been tied to it
This creation would not have prospered

41. O martyr of Allah's Messenger in Rajab
O most generous of people, examined and testing

ุฎุจูุฑุงู ูู
ุฎุชุจุฑ
42. The sword did not fail you though its support failed you
And through it one day a victor for the victor

ูุชุตูุฑ
43. If the enemies judged you, indeed
You judged them, prey of the docktailed hyena

ุธูุจุง ุงูููุฏูุฉ ุงูุจูุชูุฑ
44. You disturbed the tranquil slumber of their tyrant
Frightening him with fear and caution
ูคูค. ููููุช ุฌุจุงุฑูู

ุถุฌุนู
ุฑุนุจุงู ููููุชู ุจุงูุฎูู ูุงูุญุฐุฑ
45. You plunged into the intestines of enemies
A sharp, piercing glance from every blue-eyed one

ูููุฌ ุงูุฃุนุฏุงุก ู
ุฑูููุฉู
ู
ู ูู ุฃุฒุฑูู ูุธุงุฑู ุจูุง ูุธุฑ
46. O killer of Ali's son and Fatima's son
Perishment for your efforts in plotting and repelling
ูคูฆ. ูุง ูุงุชู ุงุจู ุนูู ูุงุจู ูุงุทู
ุฉู
ุชูุจูุงู ูุณุนูู ูู ุงูุฅูุฑุงุฏ ูุงูุตุฏุฑ
47. O killer of Ali's son, verily your killing him
Will reap you ample bitterness of fruit
ูคูง. ูุง ูุงุชู ุงุจู ุนูู ุฅู ูุชูููููู
ุณูุฌูู ูู ุงูู
ุฑููู ู
ู ุงูุซู
ุฑ
48. With what face do you meet Allah, excusing?
Your monstrous sin surpasses excuse
ูคูจ. ุจุฃููู ูุฌูู ุชูุงูู ุงููููู ู
ุนุชุฐูุฑุงู
ุฌูุช ุฎุทูุฆุชู ุงูุนุธู
ู ุนู ุงูุนุฐุฑ
49. Allah is your adversary, so see how you argue with Him
But you, the most futile arguer, are fuel for stone

ูู ุงูููู ูุงูุธุฑ ููู ุชุฎุตู

ุจู ุฃูุช ุฃุฏุญุถ ุฎุตู
ู ูููู ููุญุฌุฑ
50. Had the daughters of Eve shared in his blood with you
You would have tumbled, O Ibn Bintunnar, into Hellfire
ูฅู . ูู ุดุงุฑูุชูู ุจูู ุญูุงุกู ูู ุฏู
ู
ูููุจูุจูุง ูุง ุงุจู ุจูุช ุงููุงุฑ ูู ุณูุฑ
51. None after you exceeds Yazid in enmity
To the Prophetโs family and killing the noble lights

ุง ุจุนุฏูู
ู
ู ูุฒูุฏ ูู ุนุฏุงูุชู
ุขูู ุงููุจู ููุชู ุงูุณุงุฏุฉ ุงูุบุฑุฑ
52. Upon you is the curse of the Merciful, befalling
Secretly and openly, in periods and Virginity

ูุนูุฉ ุงูุฑุญู
ู ูุงูุนุฉ
ูู ุงูุณุฑ ูุงูุฌูุฑ ูุงูุขุตุงู ูุงูุจูููุฑ
53. And whoever inclines toward him or gestures to him
And whoever intends that, be it female or male
ูฅูฃ. ูู
ู ุณุฑู ูุญูู ุฃู ู
ู ุฃุดุงุฑ ุจู
ูู
ู ููู ุฐุงู ู
ู ุฃูุซู ูู
ู ุฐูุฑ
54. And whoever saw him but did not sharpen his guts for him
And whoever held back from him, unable

ู ุฑุขู ููู

ุญ ุจู
ูุฌุชู
ูู
ู ุชุฎูู ุนูู ุบูุฑ ู
ูุชุณูุฑ
55. Damned are people who foolishly upheld their religion
In one who increases loss in sale, contemptible
ูฅูฅ. ุฎุณุฑุงู ูููู
ุฃูุงู
ูุง ุฏูููู
ุณููุงู
ููู
ู ูุฒูุฏ ุจููููุณ ุงูุจูุน ู
ุญุชูุฑ
56. And confronted Allah in the Prophetโs kinship and did not
Regard for him the sanctity of kinship or family ties
ูฅูฆ. ูุจุงุฑุฒูุง ุงููููู ูู ูุฑุจู ุงููุจู ููู
ูุฑุนูุง ูู ุญุฑู
ุฉ ุงููุฑุจู ููุง ุงูุฅุตุฑ
57. They made lawful the contemptible and disobeyed Allah
Seeking refuge through a frail, fragile rope
ูฅูง. ุจุฑููุง ุฐูููุงู ูุนููููุง ุงููููู ูุงุนุชุตู

ูู ุจุญุจูู ุถุนูู ูุงูู ุงูู
ูุฑุฑ
58. Allah's enemies set out to him, so they tore open
Assailing them with the skin of a tiger
ูฅูจ. ุณุฑู ุฅููู ุนุฏุงุฉู ุงูููู ูุงููุตููุชูุง
ู
ุณุชุฃุณูุฏูู ุนูููู
ุฌูุฏุฉ ุงููู
ุฑ
59. Waging war with bared swords
As though they sought the Romans and Khazars
ูฅูฉ. ู
ุฌุงูุฏูู ุจุฃุณูุงูู ู
ุฌุฑุฏุฉู
ูุฃูู
ุง ูุตุฏูุง ููุฑูู
ูุงูุฎุฒูุฑ
60. O party of polytheists, how lofty were your ancestors!
You have won, by the Lord of victory and gain
ูฆู . ูุง ุนุตุจุฉ ุงูุดุฑู ู
ุง ุฃุนูู ุฌุฏูุฏูู
ู
ููุฏ ุธูุฑุชู
ุจุฑุจ ุงููุตุฑ ูุงูุธูุฑ
61. You have won against one who never drew his sword
Except to arbitrate over resolve and palaces
ูฆูก. ููุฏ ุธูุฑุชู

ุง ูุฒ ู
ููุตูููู
ุฅูุง ุชูุญูููู
ูู ุงููุงู
ุงุช ูุงูููุตูุฑ
62. You have won against one whose fingers
Would suffice us like sustenance suffices mankind
ูฆูข. ููุฏ ุธูุฑุชู

ู ูุงูุช ุฃูุงู

ูููุง ู
ูุงู
ุงูุฑุฒู ูู ุงูุจุดุฑ
63. Refined of ancestry, his lineage from Allahโs Messenger
Between the successor and his two grandsons, to Omar

ูุฐุจ ู
ู ุฑุณูู ุงูููู ูุณุจุชููู
ุจูู ุงููุตููู ูุณูุจูุทูู ุฅูู ุนู
ุฑ
64. I anxiously long for the best of the dead after his father
And the best of those who associate and pride
ูฆูค. ูููู ุนูู ุฎูุฑ ู
ูููุชู ุจุนุฏ ูุงูุฏู
ูุฎูุฑู ู
ูุชุณูุจ ููู
ุงู ูู
ูุชุฎูุฑ
65. I exonerate myself for living, now that
Mourning has stood with him, intense and sinister
ูฆูฅ. ุฅูู ูุฃุนุฐู ููุณู ูู ุงูุญูุงุฉ ููุฏ

ุงููุนููู ุจู ุฌุฐูุงูู ุฐุง ุฃุดุฑ
66. I will spend all I have praising him
Openly defying the enemies, not hiding
ูฆูฆ. ูุฃูููููู ุฃูุงูููู ุงูู
ุฏูุญ ูู

ุฌุงููุฑุงู ููุฃุนุงุฏู ุบูุฑ ู
ุณุชุชุฑ
67. And I will grant affection to the Prophet's Household, they are
The best of creation, nay the choicest of the choicest

ูุญ ุงููุฏ ุฃูู ุงูุจูุช ุฅูููู

ุฎูุฑ ุงูุจุฑูุฉ ูุง ุจู ุฎููุฑุฉ ุงูุฎูููุฑ
68. Oh would that I had been among those who witnessed him
Alive, I would have stood when he stood in his place
