1. Rejoice in the conquest opened for you
From a palm tree exuding goodness when stirred

2. And drink from narcissus kindled
In a cup not cooked by kindling

3. As if it were suffused with musk
Rather it is pure musk without infusion

4. Among boon companions all impassioned
Not abstaining from pleasure or fermented by sorrow

5. Their homes in the abode spread out
While their tent poles are not spread out

6. Hollow flutes and filled up
Sweeter than strained and filtered

7. Between slaughtered for their generosity
And living not slaughtered

8. O excellent is the narcissus as a sweet basil
To a stuffed up and bleary nose

9. As if it were composed of the scent of their spirits
Assembled from soul and breath

10. It displayed faces not ugly
In a time not ugly

11. O its beauty in the eye o its beauty
From a hint to the drinker of salty water

12. As if the dew upon its light
Were water of eyes not spilled

13. If the rose witnessed its festivals
No rose would remain uneffused

14. Do you not see the blush on its face
Speaking of an exposed embarrassment

15. Inclined from the rose to a master
Of the masters of sweet basil praised

16. As if its days were spread out
Among requested and poured out

17. Not what the praiser spreads about Al-Qasim
Of collection therein and explained

18. Woe to the breaths for it in the darkness
And at the passage of light on the tablet

19. Al-Qasim o Al-Qasim his wealth
You remain a sea not drained

20. You whom no onlooker met
Except with sanctity and praise

21. None transgressed against it and its causes
Except every deviant

22. And we saw no praise in another
Except rambling not composed

23. Nor bent the yield of its glorification
Except with profit from it earned

24. The flood of Noah is less than this dew
So remain with the permanence of Noah the chosen

25. Carrying in humility bearing
The weight of sublimities not emptied

26. The people do not lack constant benefaction
To custom and joy conferred

27. Wounding the wealth of the noble
Without flaw not wounded

28. O family of Wahb your enemies spent the night
Among slaughtered and roasted

29. And no rival of yours charged against you
A charger to be repelled with thrown

30. Nor did any share of yours breathe envy
In a worn out garment patched

31. Your enviers died in sorrow
Among stabbed and speared

32. The world through you became gentle
At ease, fragrant with breezes

33. A refuge for a neighbor not worn out
An abode for a guest not driven away

34. So people take refuge in your shade
A trusted advisor fulfilled a promised duty
