1. And how much meaning and refined words
I sent in my poverty swaggering in pride

2. And the old man whose forehead grayness
Has not yet dyed with the dye of gray in mighty pride

3. He saw the injustices of grayness on his temples
Not brought by age, but seeing life's lessons

4. It clamors in his skin that still has luster
Youthful, no sign of old age upon it

5. And the mind sought help with cunning, so helped him
With a dye spread by night on hair

6. No blame upon one who hides the truth
No injustice in preventing injustice, for the discerning

7. Rather injustice is preventing grayness, out of spite
When youth's wantonness and virility have passed
