4. She said, โ€œWill you seek refuge in Al-โ€˜Abbas?โ€ I said to her
โ€œNay, the gallant alive and the steed still being riddenโ€

5. That is his name and it has meaning contrary to it
Save when he is the mark of injustice and bandage

6. There call him Al-โ€˜Abbas when the protected
Are protected through him and name him when the afflicted are tended

ูฆ. ู‡ู†ุงูƒ ุณูŽู…ู‘ููŠู‡ู ุนุจุงุณุงู‹ ุฅุฐุง ุญูŽู…ูŠุชู’
ู…ู†ู‡ ุงู„ุญูู…ูŠู‘ูŽุง ูˆูƒู†ู‘ููŠู‡ู ุฅุฐุง ุฑูุฏุง

7. He has not ceased being openhanded as is his appellation
Sparing no wealth till it reaches its utmost

ูง. ู…ุง ุฒุงู„ ู„ูู„ู’ูุถู„ู ุจูŽุฐู‘ูŽุงู„ุง ูƒูŽูƒูู†ูŠุชูู‡ู
ู„ุง ูŠูŽุฑุญู…ู ุงู„ู…ุงู„ ุญุชู‰ ูŠูŽุจู„ุบูŽ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽู‚ูŽุฏูŽุง

8. And unsparing to enemies felling them
As corpses though he face their throng alone

9. Of that you see of his wellbeing and those hostile to him
He goes a raincloud and at times a lion

10. How many people hoped for his favors, hastened
Then slackened, lagging having lost hope of term

ูกู . ูƒู… ู…ู† ุฃู†ุงุณู ุฑูŽุฌูŽูˆุง ู…ูŽุณู’ุนูŽุงุชู‡ ุฑูƒุถูˆุง
ุซู… ุงู†ุซู†ูˆุง ู‚ุฏ ูˆูŽู†ูŽูˆุง ูˆุงุณุชูŽุจู’ุนุฏูˆุง ุงู„ุฃู…ุฏุง

11. She said, โ€œIs not the youth generous?โ€ I said to her
โ€œNay, the upright youth, praiseworthy and refinedโ€

12. She said, โ€œYou speak true, but this is a trait
Like the evil eye, hurting the eye of one who enviesโ€

ู…ุซู„ ุงู„ู…ูŽุนุงุฐุฉู ุชูŽุซู’ู†ููŠ ุนูŠู†ูŽ ู…ู† ุญุณุฏุง

13. May God protect him from it and make it
A shield for him and defense on which he relies

14. And that God adorned him with it to protect him
From an eye that hurts and a hand that knots ties

15. O you whose wealth the people now share
And you who were unique in benevolence and withdrew

ูˆู…ู† ุชูˆุญู‘ูŽุฏ ุจุงู„ู…ุนุฑูˆูู ูˆุงู†ูุฑุฏุง

16. And adorned yourself with the best of mannerisms
So none sees the like of you in refinement

ูู…ุง ูŠุฑู‰ ุฃุญุฏูŒ ููŠ ุธูŽุฑููู‡ู ุฃุญุฏุง

17. I complain to you of adversities which have hardened me
Leaving me no Lamb nor even skin

ูกูง. ุฃุดูƒูˆ ุฅู„ูŠูƒ ุฎุทูˆุจุงู‹ ู‚ุฏ ุจูŽุนูู„ู’ุชู ุจู‡ุง
ู„ู… ุชูŽุชู‘ูŽุฑูƒู’ ุณูŽุจูŽุฏุงู‹ ุนู†ุฏูŠ ูˆู„ุง ู„ูŽุจูŽุฏุง

18. Between you and I are causes to which I cling
Were I to count them I could not number them all

ูกูจ. ุจูŠู†ูŠ ูˆุจูŠู†ูŽูƒ ุฃุณุจุงุจูŒ ุฃูŽู…ูุชู‘ู ุจู‡ุง
ู„ูˆ ุฑูู…ุช ุฅุญุตุงุกู‡ุง ู„ู… ุฃุญู’ุตู‡ุง ุนุฏุฏุง

19. And you reminded me of them when time confused me
A time whose companion I struggle with bitterly

ูกูฉ. ูˆุฃู†ุช ุฃุฐู’ูƒูŽุฑู’ุชู†ูŠู‡ุง ุญูŠู† ุฃุฐู‡ู„ู†ูŠ
ุฏู‡ุฑูŒ ุฃูƒุงุจุฏู ู…ู†ู‡ ุตุงุญุจุงู‹ ู†ูŽูƒูุฏุง

20. And you promised to relieve me of its woes
A promise the noblest of people fulfilled

ูˆุนุฏุงู‹ ูุฃู†ู’ุฌูŽุฒูŽ ุญุฑู‘ู ุงู„ู‚ูˆู… ู…ุง ูˆุนุฏุง

21. If we are not bound by blood then binding faith
For which a father would sever ties with his son

ูขูก. ุฅู† ู„ุง ูŠูƒู† ุจูŠู†ู†ุง ู‚ูุฑู’ุจู‰ ูุขุตูุฑุฉูŒ
ู„ู„ุฏูŠู† ูŠู‚ุทุน ููŠู‡ุง ุงู„ูˆุงู„ุฏู ุงู„ูˆู„ุฏุง

22. The words of justice and divine oneness gather us
Beyond the likes of the hypocrite and unbeliever

ูขูข. ู…ู‚ุงู„ุฉู ุงู„ุนุฏู„ ูˆุงู„ุชูˆุญูŠุฏ ุชุฌู…ุนู†ุง
ุฏูˆู† ุงู„ู…ูุถุงู‡ูŠู† ู…ู† ุซูŽู†ู‘ูŽู‰ ูˆู…ู† ุฌุญุฏุง

23. And between two straying in blindness a fellowship
That guides, so how can two who stray find guidance?

ูขูฃ. ูˆุจูŠู† ู…ูุณุชุทุฑูููŽูŠู’ ุบูŠู‘ู ู…ุฑุงูู‚ุฉูŒ
ุชุฑุนู‰ ููƒูŠู ุงู„ู„ุฐุงู† ุงุณุชุทุฑูุง ุฑุดุฏุง

24. Remain by your virtues that were made
Incumbent on you, restricted for all time

ูขูค. ูƒู† ุนู†ุฏ ุฃุฎู„ุงู‚ูƒ ุงู„ุฒู‡ุฑ ุงู„ุชูŠ ุฌูุนู„ุช
ุนู„ูŠูƒ ู…ูˆู‚ูˆูุฉู‹ ู…ู‚ุตูˆุฑุฉู‹ ุฃุจุฏุง

25. What excuse has a capable recluse who forbids
His palm, secluding himself, shackled in fetters?

ูขูฅ. ู…ุง ุนุฐุฑู ู…ูุนุชุฒู„ูŠู‘ู ู…ููˆุณูุฑู ู…ูŽู†ูŽุนุชู’
ูƒูู‘ูŽุงู‡ู ู…ูุนุชุฒู„ูŠู‘ูŽุงู‹ ู…ูู‚ุชุฑุงู‹ ุตูŽูุฏุง

26. Does he claim ordained fate discouraged him?
If he says that then he has undone what was knotted

ูขูฆ. ุฃูŠุฒุนู…ู ุงู„ู‚ูŽุฏุฑูŽ ุงู„ู…ุญุชูˆู…ูŽ ุซุจู‘ุทู‡
ุฅู† ู‚ุงู„ ุฐุงูƒ ูู‚ุฏ ุญูŽู„ู‘ ุงู„ุฐูŠ ุนู‚ุฏุง

27. Or is the giver unworthy of his merit?
How, when he swerved not from purpose or aid?

ูขูง. ุฃู… ู„ูŠุณ ู…ุณุชุฃู‡ูู„ุงู‹ ุฌุฏูˆุงู‡ ุตุงุญูุจูู‡ู
ุฃู†ู‘ูŽู‰ ูˆู…ุง ุญุงุฏ ุนู† ู‚ุตุฏู ูˆู„ุง ุนูŽู†ูŽุฏุง

28. Or can he not do what he deems right for him,
Sparing a brother what an able brother can spare?

ูขูจ. ุฃู… ู„ูŠุณ ูŠูู…ู’ูƒูู†ูู‡ ู…ุง ูŠุฑุชุถูŠู‡ ู„ู‡
ูŠูƒููŠ ุฃุฎุงู‹ ู…ู† ุฃุฎู ู…ูŠุณูˆุฑู ู…ุง ูˆูŽุฌุฏุง

29. I see no excuse for one like you
To not hit the mark of rectitude

ูขูฉ. ู„ุง ุนูุฐุฑูŽ ููŠู…ุง ูŠูุฑูŠู†ูŠ ุงู„ุฑุฃูŠูŽ ุฃุนู„ู…ูู‡ู
ู„ู„ู…ุฑุก ู…ุซู„ูƒ ุฃู† ู„ุง ูŠุฃุชููŠูŽ ุงู„ุณุฏูŽุฏูŽุง

30. I used to bear the summer's heat
And those poisons and sometimes the furnace's flames

ูฃู . ู‚ุฏ ูƒู†ุชู ู…ุถุทู„ุนุงู‹ ุจุงู„ุตูŠู’ู ู…ุญุชู…ูู„ุงู‹
ุชู„ูƒ ุงู„ุณู‘ูŽู…ูˆู…ูŽ ูˆุทูˆู’ุฑุงู‹ ุฐู„ูƒ ุงู„ูˆู…ุฏุง

31. By your life I've no hand with winter's cold
And it brought me pulling the chain and fetter

32. With none behind my back hoping for anyone
But you from fate but the One Eternal

33. Winter came and your brother counted against it
O son of nobles, only the sun and lightning

ูฃูฃ. ุฌุงุก ุงู„ุดุชุงุก ูˆู„ู… ูŠูุนู’ุฏูุฏู’ ุฃุฎูˆูƒ ู„ู‡
ูŠุง ุงุจู† ุงู„ุฃูƒุงุฑู… ุฅู„ุง ุงู„ุดู…ุณ ูˆุงู„ุฑูุนูŽุฏุง

34. I seek God's forgiveness for inapt words I uttered
Nay, you are equipment enough to suffice me

ุจู„ ุฃู†ุช ู„ูŠ ุนูุฏู‘ุฉูŒ ุชูƒููŠู†ูŠ ุงู„ุนูุฏุฏุง

35. So show kindness to us and clothe us both in an encompassing
Feathered mantle that banishes misery and chain

ูฃูฅ. ูุงุนุทู ุนู„ูŠู†ุง ูˆุฃู„ุจุณู’ู†ุง ู…ุนุงู‹ ูƒู†ูŽูุงู‹
ู…ู† ุฑูŠุดูƒ ุงู„ูˆูŽุญู’ู ุชู†ููŠ ุงู„ุจุคุณ ูˆุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุฑุฏุง

36. Truly I am the man who if you grant him a favor
You will not lack thanks from him everlasting

ูฃูฆ. ุฅู†ูŠ ุฃู†ุง ุงู„ู…ุฑุกู ุฅู† ู†ูู‘ูŽู„ุชูŽู‡ ู†ูŽููŽู„ุงู‹

37. And if you follow it with emulating a deed
That wearies men, reaching excellence and endurance

ูŠูุนู’ูŠูŠ ุงู„ุฑุฌุงู„ ุจู„ูˆู’ุชูŽ ุงู„ุญุฒู’ู…ูŽ ูˆุงู„ุฌู„ุฏุง

38. Do not deprive a man led to you by hope
When he borrowed envy from his neighbors

ูฃูจ. ู„ุง ุชุญุฑู…ู† ุงู…ุฑุกุงู‹ ุณุงู‚ ุงู„ุฑุฌุงุกู ุจู‡
ูˆู‚ุฏ ุชูŽุณู„ู‘ู ู…ู† ุฌูŠุฑุงู†ู‡ ุงู„ุญุณุฏุง

39. And you were once seen by all the beholders
Hopeful of your wealth, a boundless domain

ูฃูฉ. ูˆูƒู†ุชูŽ ู‚ุฏู’ู…ุงู‹ ูŠุฑู‰ ุงู„ุฑุงุคูˆู† ูƒู„ู‘ูู‡ูู…
ุฑุฌุงุก ุฑุงุฌูŠูƒ ู…ุงู„ุงู‹ ุญููŠุฒูŽ ู…ูู†ุชู‚ุฏุง
