1. This is a refuge, O sons of Wail,
For one seeking protection with you, a fugitive,

2. In which fate has sunk its claws,
And bitten it with fang and grinder.

3. So do justice for a brother under your protection,
Who has sought refuge with you, along with the seekers of refuge,

4. For I do not see that fate, in its judgment,
Will contravene your decisive judgment.
