1. O Abu Al-Saqr, my gratitude to Ma'ruf
Is lasting gratitude through the days

2. So keep it ongoing, for blessing accompanies
The one who is ever bestowing favor

3. To you belongs the choicest praise and thanks from me
In consistent composition and rhyme

4. And eyes unlike any other eyes
That take the select of every utterance

5. I will not blame time as long as you nurture
O Abu Al-Saqr, my sanctity and protection

6. I have remained in lasting bliss
That persisted whether my abode or travels

7. Astray are those I called upon besides you
For I found no nobility except the noble

8. And it is guaranteed, my praise and gratitude
For you have excellent commendation among all people

9. And it suffices me that my thanks to Ma'ruf
Fulfilled what I saw in my dream

10. It represented the sincerity of my allegiance
And truthfulness to you in thanks and dreams

11. I am silent towards all other people
For my nature with that during my fast

12. I am not one who neglects the duty of truth
Upon him while you are rain for all people

13. The steed, though no sloth, may be whipped
And the sword, though no dullard, shaken
