When there is no other to protect you but yourself

7. I seek refuge for you from frightening one who seeks refuge
While you are the place of safety for the seeker of refuge

8. And from replacing a gentle soul with a rough one
I hoped when abandoning the helper, you would show mercy

9. Take your prisoner and count him a guest
For what guest is weaker than a prisoner

10. And what visit poorer than avoiding
One who does wrong, however great he may be

11. When the courteous are angry, beware their anger
How much more those with raging anger

12. When your anger is coupled with a mate
For the affairs of men are momentous indeed

13. I expect that one who did not touch and hopes
None but you as protection against affliction

14. One who did not restrain what his hands did
Which led him into the heated path of ruin
