1. O son of Hassaan, do not doubt my religion,
And do not let suspicions divide you from me.

2. It is the oneness of the Majestic Lord, and my creed,
The one conveyed by the trusted Messenger.

3. A rightly guided faith that showed me its guidance,
With piercing insight and a resolute mind.

4. It has a binding pact with my soul,
And a firm resolve from my innermost being.

5. I cannot substitute it or turn away from it,
Indeed I cherish it ardently within me.

6. Only the misguided can be enticed away
From the path of righteousness by your damned opinion.

7. So leave me be and look to yourself apart from me,
None shall be recompensed but what I profess as my faith.

8. Do not let old age deter you from some of what you do,
Or your ugly and villainous face.

9. How often arrogance roams the land, O diseased one,
Not caring or feeling ashamed.

10. Your marriage is like adultery, except that
One is doubtful while the other is clear.
