1. The Lord of mankind will thank what you have done
Initiating and the Lord thanks benevolence

2. So do not deprive me of your generosity, for only
The one with a severed hand is deprived of generosity

3. And if you initiate a custom, reciprocate
For beginnings are forgotten but endings remembered

4. And be not of those whose deed seeks glory
Yet initiates benevolence and concludes wrongdoing

5. Have you not seen people's world dress its youth
And its liveliness then deny them

6. So it is blamed, yet excused for its acts
By God's decree, though no excuse absolves it

7. They blame it though coerced and fettered
Yet how can they blame the lost and confused?

8. And if to forbid right makes one a poet
Then in blaming I am a greater poet

9. So make not deprivation foreordained
Lest you meet reproach and blame ordained
