1. Why such delay in matters, events turn awry,
And in the conjectures of deceiving hopes lie?

2. I think humiliation has let down its veil,
Upon us, and that evil is a blow, no surprise.

3. Yet reckon not troubles as a destined blow,
For they are but whims of sly fox and rabid hound.

4. O son of rising kings towards glory's height,
Uphold Islam, not merely gazing around.

5. Consult only brave, wise, tested men sincere,
Faithful friends, scholars of diverse life profound.

6. Beware discussing with each weak, reckless soul,
Feeble of mind, rash, rooted not on ground.

7. Belie the gloating foes' vile thoughts for your place,
Deterring enemies, will never turn around.

8. And truest act whose fame the land still sings,
Its praises east and west horizons resound.

9. All date palms and their like did covet it,
Those who no pure water for thirst have found.

10. It grieved others, saddened hearts overcast,
With doubts and qualms those spirits wrapped around.

11. Unless you lead the warriors on plains to strike,
Or climb the mountain peaks where gloom abounds,

12. Or take the nomads by surprise, your raids,
Removing the veil of disgrace, tear it down.

13. Or wave your standards o’er them, marching on,
With stalwart blacks to strike, turn their worlds around.
