1. To God for relief from afflictions we yearn
And ask of Him great favor and turn

2. The Lord of the Throne deserves all praise
And by His grace affairs turn and raise

3. To remove our worries, sorrows and grief
For we await their unbinding relief

4. From God emancipation, grace and mercy
Else from companionship we'd not refrain

5. Nor from gardens of glory, faith and guidance
To a land of disbelief set or maintain

6. Yet we hope for His pleasure and pardon
God is nearest in bringing all good

7. Without hope in God glory abounding
I'd not ride the seas tossed as I could

8. Fears and grave concerns from its voyage
And trepidation we've withstood

9. Until we reached the land Daxtra raising
Banner of expertise, medicine and good

10. He brought equipment of secrets so chilling
And burning brazier making blood curdle

11. Things we know not but make reason spin
With wonder and amazement they addle

12. He washed o'er our eyes gently dabbing
With potions various he handles and toggles

13. To align my right eye he tilted his hand
And Othman's who was also disabled

14. He postponed us a few nights' reprieve
Seeking cure which he pursues and covets

15. I saw his wise fingers move to retrieve
After stillness when remedy struck

16. And Othman's face after blows he endured
A palm he extends as guide and support

17. This man came with things none would have dared
Unless consumed by conceit and contort

18. Bandaging both our eyes for nine days straight
Binding and wrapping without escort

19. Demanding no tampering with dressings
Till the ordained time to uncover

20. No act this of one who had journeyed
To our land from own to be savior

21. Nor were these his ways and his workings
When administering blows he need not defer

22. Thus this partial behavior, we mutter
Is best kept from he who may wonder

23. As for Khalid's affairs and his matter
Not what the soul could foresee or ponder

24. Patience he showed though youthful his vigor
And constant amazement he showed yonder

25. He described his impaired eye and sutured
All that caused him discomfort and bother

26. Unafraid though alarmed by what he saw
Nor frightened by horrors that did blather

27. We said this is born of great Magid's stock
A king's scion who knows not dread or falter

28. Ghutarif, renowned warriors with vim
In fierce frays with courage that will not falter

29. So fearful Abdallah was, yet composed
As our eyes were dealt those harsh blows

30. Washing the lid and slicing it open
As the eye did spill and shed its bloody flows

31. Crying tears while Khalid showed only calm
To the wise man's actions did not oppose

32. The thread he laid in and repaired
Approved by physicians in their diagnosis

33. By the affliction sent from Yemen's coasts
To God relief from all woes we pray

34. For swift cure of hopes we need most
Oh He who over creation does reign

35. Above the throne where none can boast
No atom in the heavens can hide

36. Nor on earth from His knowledge riposte
By Your names most fair and attributes lofty

37. And gentleness that makes hearts melt
Grant this king whose rule all kings exceeds

38. Your pleasure and what his heart does seek
The intrepid imam Abdulaziz brother of munificence

39. Server of enemies' bitter drink when cups overturn
Ally of the sublime, ocean of dew, essence of loyalty

40. Imam by whom the fires of war burn
He makes the enemies' drink from it raging inferno

41. And serves them cups of bitterness frothing and churn
He strived to cure us of our illness

42. With an expert doctor's thoughtful concern
He did not rest seeking our healing

43. To please His Lord and divine turning earn
Continually bestowed on him are grace and glory

44. By God's blessing his affairs turn and learn
Ever glorious, hopeful and revered

45. Watched over by favor wherever he turns
Most fitting this end with his mention blessed

46. Seeking nearness to God as all hopes yearn
Blessings and peace be on the Master Infallible and his family

47. And companions as long as stars glitter and gleam
As long as thunder roars or lighting illumes

48. Or clouds pour down heavy streams
