1. Glorious is He who created all things with such perfection
By His command the decrees take effect over us

2. He ordained by His wisdom and executed
That we shall be parted from our beloved ones

3. He ordained while He raised us amongst each other, so
Parting became an alternative to our unity

4. How foolishly one blames, when we remember you
One who was not touched by the longing that consumed us

5. A ladder without them disturbs his night
In ignorance and intoxication he knows not what afflicts us

6. The brother of pleasures insists mournfully
Never asked, and avoid making us forget

7. From you, distracted are all the people
When they become stars guiding people

8. By God, no day passed after your separation
Except with longing in the heart that will not make us forget

9. Think not that the distance from you can change us
Or that we aspire to an alternative or other beloved ones

10. No, by Him who revealed the Qur’an as a lesson
A command, a prohibition, a reminder and clarification

11. We shall not forget you as long as we live or see any substitute
How can it be when the fire of separation burns us?

12. And tears flow like a pouring rain all night
Or like the melting of ice when it crashes down on us

13. It flows with the memory of the beloved who then laments
Complaining of distance, then makes us cry

14. Complaining of separation from the loved ones, remembering
What was, at that time, from the era of our beloved ones

15. Never consoled after us, ever
And Allah knows that separation agonizes us

16. O Lord, O Lord, unite us forever
If the eyes flow with tears for long when we

17. Weep for nights past, with their joy, when gone
And the prime of this life deserted, disappointing us

18. Woe to those nights, if only they would return, but
Comfort has faded, and the heart remains sad

19. But we hope for mercy from the Lord of the Throne
That Allah sends for Tawheed someone calling

20. And spreads knowledge after ignorance when its features faded
And its stars set within us

21. They were guides for these people, then passed away
And the universe darkened, and our enemies hid

22. They were stars, and we were guided by them
Then a gap appeared among them, exposing us

23. May Allah not deprive Najd of you forever
For you are a branch of the sea that made the world apparent

24. And a successor of your sons took up the command
An inheritance remains in you, never changing us

25. I wish I knew, are those days returning
With their joy, one day, perhaps time will grant us

26. That after this separation we meet in comfort
And separation dissolves between our homes

27. O He who replaced happiness with sorrow after the distance
Poetry has come to us from you that consoles us

28. Singular beneficial poetry in its majesty
Most beautifully composed, clear and explanatory

29. So listen, my gift is a poem to my ability
That guides to you, as you guided when you brought

30. Then prayers and peace when the doves cooed
And the paper of the doves in the branches makes us cry

31. It guides to the best prophet and his companions
And his family who made the religion clear
