1. The sublime affairs, the lofty principles
Are for the people of piety and generosity, the people of virtues

2. And with determination against the enemies and resolve in battle
You attain glory with keen swords

3. And you have taken all the lofty morals of both generations
And attained their peaks in the great misfortunes

4. And you have surpassed all the sons of kings
With excellence and valor in all battles

5. Good fortune looks upon you wherever you turn
Your aims—no blamer can deter you from the exalted pleasures

6. You did not fall short against your enemies in resolve and cunning
And foiling their schemes for the encounter

7. And they had gathered an intrepid and tumultuous army
And advanced with it and sought the aid of every oppressor

8. But your cunning routed them with a sudden onslaught
By sincere warriors like fierce lions

9. May you be fortunate in your endeavors
With resolve, determination, steadfast loyalty

10. Sincerity, planning, and excellent stratagems
You have adorned yourself above glory and bounty

11. May good fortune and honor look upon you, so keep on
Victory and succor are destined for you among all nations

12. And what befell people before them has befallen them
Of old—retreat in battles

13. By God's decree—may His majesty be exalted
And no scheme can avert what is destined

14. You marched against them with armies you led
To take them unaware with a sudden raid

15. By my life, they were lions in the fray
But in battle, they had no resistance

16. You showed them your strength and they were torn to pieces
The hands of war captives, and you uprooted every tyrant

17. You charged in battle and did not slow down
But they met the worst of defeats

18. And there befell the people of Hail a calamity
By which you made their greenery barren with swords

19. Ambushed in the flood of destiny, prone
As meat for beasts and circling vultures

20. By God, no calamity before it came upon them
For they met with one of the greatest disasters

21. And another will overwhelm them in their lands
And take them unaware with a fierce lion

22. Who will ambush their cherished souls in the Hijaz
And cheapen them during the pilgrimage seasons

23. And uproot the enemies with it and humiliate them
With abasement and humiliation, like beasts

24. By the power of He whose throne is above the heavens
And may good fortune aid you against every oppressor

25. O you whose glory, generosity, and felicity have reached the heights
And settled upon the crown of loftiness and bounty

26. May reaching your hopes gladden you, O sun and moon of the country
And foiling every rebel and tyrant

27. Congratulations on everlasting mighty glory
Congratulations, congratulations, pride among all nations

28. For this is the great victory whose fame rang loud
And this is the lofty glory with firm pillars

29. So thank God for a momentous day
That turns gray hair white with its awesomeness in battle

30. So thank you, Who granted you glory and elevation
And ample victory over every oppressor

31. This battle whose fame spread has no equal
And nothing like it brought such great events

32. Nor did calamities befall them before it
Nor did such disgrace afflict them before it

33. You remain in mighty, long-lasting glory
While your enemies remain in humiliation and defeat

34. You remain supreme over the heads of your enemies
To you belong decimation and restoration among all people

35. You remain a refuge for the virtuous and an impregnable
Abode, lofty and robust in great misfortunes

36. May blessings be upon the best of mankind, Muhammad
And his companions and family, people of virtues

37. And his followers and those who follow their path
Upon the way of the infallible, the elite of Adam

38. Time has passed and tears overflowed, joined
By the immense tragedy that befell people and overwhelmed them

39. Its rent was mended in religion, and rent
No man can mend what has been rent

40. A scholar in the sea of knowledge, he left
No room for critics, neither words nor phrases

41. A jurist whose conduct among people was praised
He surpassed his peers in wisdom and reached lofty heights

42. God adorned him with piety and clothed him
And God singled him out with His revelation, so he held firm

43. I mean by this one whose lineage was pure
The remnant of scholars, the eminent nobles

44. That is the son of the Sultan whose virtues spread
Muhammad, distinguished by the grace of knowledge

45. I hope for him success and forgiveness
And an abode near God, enjoying bliss

46. May God elevate him in Paradise
And may God reward him with His approval and generosity

47. And may God reward him from the sea of His mercy
And grace—the best reward for knowledge

48. A sea that passed away with time and vanished
Until he settled as dust in the earth and crumbled

49. When the mourners announced his death, that death
Had set camp, the journey ended and the tent pegs were pulled up

50. The minds of reasonable people were distraught and torn apart
Our hearts cracked from this immense calamity when it grew

51. And after him we were afflicted with sorrow that robbed us of sleep
But we do not resist what God has decreed

52. When all the lands grew dark and the affliction
Spread among the people, the heart was filled with gloom

53. And this ignorance spread among people and the
Features of knowledge faded away and were obliterated

54. Whoever loses every trusted scholar
Who protected the sanctity of Sharia has crumbled

55. Like the trustee jurist endowed with grace
By bestowing knowledge upon people that he learned

56. His nickname was Abu Hasan, his resolve was pure
He was a beacon of excellence in their knowledge

57. And his unique son whose virtues spread
Like the sun traversing the horizons when it reached its highest point

58. Whoever seeks heights of glory until he attains them
His virtues exhaust prose and verse equally

59. After them, their heirs grew darker and
Ignorance took hold in the regions when it overflowed

60. Then, peace be upon our master, the infallible
The most virtuous of mankind, indeed, of immaculate repute

61. And his Household, and the companions whenever the breeze blew
Time passed and tears overflowed, joined together
