1. You advised in God's name so do not accuse
And you came with wisdom, O wise one

2. You believed I'm a man who may
Incline in love towards some of the forbidden

3. Yet I prefer the intimacy of the delicate ones
More than the greatest pleasures with me

4. But if longing stirs within me
And passion leads me to perdition

5. Then I elevate myself to realize she
Who is insignificant to me despite her red lips

6. I don't indulge in what contradicts piety
Neither in private nor by my life do I swear

7. My palm did not gain any suspicion
Except it left me in peace

8. It's no wonder that the wolf may sometimes
Refrain from attacking the sheep

9. My soul is bound to fear God and nothing
But piety is the goal of a soul without bounds

10. Ramadan did not make me ill and I
Feared none but my Creator of the soft breeze

11. So strengthen my back for I avoid
Sin and fear blame

12. If I'm late for something and yet
My steps did not falter in it with you

13. You burdened me with the notion of
An ugly scheme that decency averts from

14. So seek God's forgiveness for what
Your pen did against me today

15. And last forever O best of those who
Speak not but guide with favors
