1. There your Lord has bestowed on you so many blessings,
O best of those whose mother bore a gracious son.

2. And you have obtained, in what you were granted, favors
That give tranquility and refuge from a faltering step.

3. Now is not the time, as the way is perilous
And the cheeks’ radiance has parted, revealing a smile,

4. And you have begun to bring tidings of good news,
Mother of hope, even after barrenness.

5. The cycle of the stars has produced no benefit
Like this, by the decree of the tablet and the pen.

6. The best of men, the blessed ancients have decreed for him
That the best of women be brought to him as a bride.

7. O son of those whom God Himself praised—
I cannot match them—they are too wealthy for my speech.

8. A people, when you recite their virtues,
You seem to scent the wafting fragrance of jasmine blossoms

9. Give comfort to the eye, joy to the soul, and gentle sleep
Accompany you both wakeful and in dreams.
