2. You would have mercy on him and blame the other for his stinginessโ€”
Stinginess, You would say, is a mark of humankind.

3. Yet You are the Generous One whose renown
For kindness and beneficence has spread.

4. I have stood begging at Your door of bounty
For a long time, in need.
