1. Receive good tidings, O Father of al-Khattab, your glory is everlasting,
And your noble rank is lofty and sublime,

2. Success comes before you, O most obedient one,
And God closely follows your good deeds,

3. So give thanks, it will increase your good fortune and care,
And protect you from what you fear of stumbling,

4. And I hope that with the new year it brings,
It is a year with what your side hopes for, coming.
