1. I heralded one day the fulfillment of a gift
From the Lord of destiny among mankind it rose high

2. Then I awaited the success I would attain with it
My chest expanded and amazement reached out its hand

3. A month and two and no news comes
Nor a trace of what I hoped for appears

4. I ask God's forgiveness, what do their words mean
Good tidings, fulfillment has come to what was promised
