1. Abdul Majeed Bekir, he whose virtues were proclaimed
By the eloquent, the poets and the articulate

2. Whose prose was akin to poetry, structured and ornate
And whose grace brought joy whene’er perceived or obtained

3. My Lord granted him a son, to accompany him
With fortune and joy each dawn and dusk sustained

4. Muhammad his name, he whose glory was ingrained
With praise and glory, from his Lord never waned

5. Zainab kissed him, blessed on arrival
In her life prosperity and joy did prevail

6. His light shone as he met his sister
He was the full moon, and she the rising sun

7. Good fortune he espied, the date made clear
By man, circling glory, purity and sheen
