1. With you glory is adorned
For you are its blossom

2. You are its hearing and sight
And its finder you are

3. Whoever mocks is a fault-finder
But Egypt's nectar

4. Should take pride in you
For you are the Chosen One, the Expert

5. Knowledge and deeds without
Any pretentiousness

6. Recklessness is absent in you
And prudence present

7. Knowledge is a garden whose branch
By God, you make flourish

8. None will deny your merit
Except those who deny daylight

9. How many problems you have solved
Before it was asked, evading

10. And you handled dilemmas
While the Sheikh fell short

11. With keen intelligence
Its flames leaping high

12. Every envier burned
By your unbelief

13. And a lofty ambition
From which praise is fragrant

14. And astounding wisdom
Wherein the great are humbled

15. Who do I have with gallantry in calamities
To be its commander?

16. By God, you are worthy of it
And capable, appropriate for it

So stick, my ransom, to a path

18. Whereupon all are thankful
And watch for a supreme position

19. That will soon come your way
And remember the affection of a loyal friend

20. Who will always remember you
And to you is the happiest celebration

21. Wherein delight is plenty
The like of which will come upon you

22. With strength to match it
Until in joy I soar

23. And whom I love sees
