1. The desire of praise for the sweetness of flirtation
Is like the lover's desire for the first kisses

2. It would not be difficult for the critic, if he
Allowed it lightly one day, to bear its weight

3. A death which fate withheld from me
The long wait for the return of the ruins

4. I settle for a false promise which occupies
My mind away from my misery

5. The deprived is content with less
Just as the blind is content with the least vision

6.
And if I don't get what I hope for safely

7. My aloof one, your time doesn't place
What you suffer, and here I am preoccupied

8. And if your soul refuses my advice
Then I am one who is aloof in aloofness

9. And if you don't experience the meaning, don't
Take a singular view of it, and ask

10. One mind alone does not bend
To the minds of all, clearly stupid

11. Don't call me a muddled one, all the attributes
Of prohibition have gathered in a man

12. Do you see between creations a second one
To Ali son of Hussein son of Ali

13. A rare one, time has erred with him
It prevents negation in debate with him

14. Rather, with him is the negation of whoever claims
To negate days that have passed since the first

15. He has a tongue that describes him
It opened the eye to vanity and blinking

16. If fancy strove to depict him
Before he was revealed to it, it wouldn't arrive

17. It made the hasty one unable to catch
What he grasped with the pace of leisure

18. He saw the world with the eye of one who saw
In it all that is disliked and neglected

19. So its superiority was obscured when he did not say
“I have taken from it something precious”

20. And became equal to people in what he has
Apart from honor and white hairs

21. He competed with people over forbearance until he did not
Leave any restrained or deterred person

22. A trait of forbearance is burdensome to carry
It became great in worth to the owner of meagerness

23. It can bring down a towering mountain while can
A mountain that insisted withstand without tricks

24. The situation of one made humble when he tastes it
If he was a possessor of protection, is of grave matter

25. He is an unruly one whom the masters
Of past eras made great in status

26. He dragged the train of tyranny astray, raising
The banner of heresy to the highest peaks

And took from his resolve what can be taken

28. And his sides were pelted with flame
While strategy made his sword even

29. Fighting around him and with trickery
When God brought a decisive victory

30. The power of the whites and the browns
What a blessing it is that contained

31. Many great things underneath it
The transgressor became with it undoing what

32. He had tied strongly with nodes
And the next day he throws what is in his stomach

33. Like one who drowned in surfeit of water
Every foot that left its position

34. Was since then fettered in shackles
The captives grew weary of counting them

35. And the fetters complained of boredom from them
Ask the ground about its dear ones

36. Where did they pass in the empty valleys
The truthful one informs of their condition

37. That they are laid low and did not move
In one swoop their flags were erased

38. Strangely from the haste of haste
A past sunnah for whoever insolently

39. Wanted to see the opposite of hopes in insolence

40. It belied the sense with beauty though it
Was famous like the day of the camel battle

41. So it opened the way for it when it opened
The door of heresy, the door of errors

42. It went from the disgraceful ignorance of
Grammar to the door of substitution

43. How can one who exceeded his limit bypass
A death blow which plummets him into ruins

44. So the sword passed by them thickly
And quenched its thirst from their blood with sores

45. Remember the days in people, you will find
Their day like the day of shade

46. What is wrong with the pillars, they turned away
From his affair, though it is like the sun close to a child

47. Or they forgot from his great affair what
Happened and the time of it did not lengthen

48. They initiated war against one to whom he
Inclined and reckoned him easy prey

49. And each gang claimed
That it will do what it did not say

50. And they perfected the opinion until they witnessed
The vengeance of God which did not cease

51. They witnessed the land which was to them
A partnership between them and rabbits

52. Every span exposing a nude one
Every hiatus exposing a hero

53. When their visions were distorted
From afflictions that had no precedent

54. Then the purpose of war took them
To the throats and slapping of cheeks

55. An ignorance that did not dissipate until it uncovered
The futility of opinion and pure error

56. Advice is wasted and does not benefit
A corrupt mind, citing examples

57. O commander whose rule
Rose sublimely in realms

58. It gladdens the soul with the good tidings of a smiling life
And erased what blemish was in it

59. The fair one quotes in describing it
The poetry of Tammaam and the line of Al-Hudhali

60. You attained it not as spoils of the withered
Nor in the stunted harvests

61. Rather, you did not hastily seek to obtain it
With the work of the treacherous, some of the trickery

62. It is pure from the impurity of bloodshed and from
The cry of the mourner with the voice of bereavement

63. It was truthful when it mentioned in its pride
The likes of the saying of Al-Ji’li about other than it

64.
And it is too high to be seen in error

65. In its guidance in word and deed
When it dismissed all who sought it

66. And responded to you and said, “he is most fitting”
So witnesses and judge became equal in

67. That you are the most qualified and excellent in dowry
What mind after this contends

68. In the clarity of truth, and the truth is manifest?
O master whom my praises

69. Fell short of, so they are ashamed
Indeed, Al-Ma’mun brought you an opening

70. In its folds an opening with quick profits
A felicitous omen announcing

71. Hopes and continuous blessings
A king from a king from a king

72. Who invigorated the kingdom with reason
Rejoice in the opening and profits together

73. During this, the birthplace of the best of messengers
Returning from it to its like

74. With wholesome conditions and distant hopes
Sovereignty will become cheerful with you in the morning

75. Then celebratory in the evening at the feast
It will not see any shortcoming in your spear

76. Nor any fatigue in your sword
Yes, and you do not ignore a poet

77. Who came with the most beautiful ugly poetry
The habit of the market, when one recognized in trade enters it

78. He appears with the coins
The mind falters but praising you

79. Dresses the dim one in the most splendid attire
I cast its pearls with a copious sea

80. Or scattered pearls that emerged in pregnancy
Sometimes descending to the noon in it

81. And other times ascending from Saturn
How can I adorn it with the sweetest mention of you

82. And keep its beauty from being futile
So when a section of it is recited

83. It travels in the horizons like a proverb
Gratitude for your blessings which my heart is

84. Humbled to mention and did not have permission
How can I forget the night you called upon me

85. “Trust in my palm, O drowning in anguish”
While I struggle in the trap of misery

86. Oh what distant refuge from it!
Between fangs and nails that claw

87. The greatest gaps after the joints
I ask the night about the star, and even if

88. The star rose, it would heal my illnesses
I wipe my eyelid though no tear is in it

89. Tears disturb when they do not flow
So I took the reward, uniquely marked with it

90. Pulling me from tremendous anguish
Changing my heart to its habitual state

91. Healing my brokenness by bearing the burden
Mercy to me, with them the situation passed they

92. Died after variously in the count of worries
If their situation persisted they would have died

93. Later diversely in the number of discarded
This is how one created with a soul

94. Free from fraud acts
God knows, making true my alliance

95. You are just a commander and minister
So remain travelling the good path politely
