1. Pause and reflect, O passerby, upon this grave
Such is the fate of the eminent and the insignificant

2. He who lies in this grave was once walking about
Among brothers and family in comfort

3. Nay, this is Aisha who was to the destitute
Of the true religion like a kind father

4. Wife of the Emir Muhammad Bey who
Ruled with benevolence and an uncorrupted heart

5. So pray for her forgiveness and grace
On a day when people will stand before the Merciful Lord

6. May He then treat her account with kindness
And give her a palace in the Gardens of Bliss

7. And return great favor to those who prayed
For His servants, and Allah is of great favor

8. Now that she has passed away to her God
I recorded the date—she returned to the Generous Lord
