1. You came with auspicious rising fortune
To the sanctuary of the saint my father Sa'id

2. As your noble father came before
While you were still a child

3. And the holy places announced you when
Signs of fortune appeared in you

4. And insight cannot miss where it came
From the rightly-guided Mahdi in nature of al-Rashid

5. And it returned as goodness returns
With its requests for affectionate return

6. Oh my patience when the White City departed
From beneath the hills

7. It competed with you over the reins and it swayed
Towards Jabal al-Manara from afar

8. Yet you shortened it though if left it would have lowered
Its lamps upon the Wadi as-Sayid

9. And it passed the lake when it went on
With the sea of Madyan in its plains

10. And az-Zarif met it on the slopes
Yet it did not stand firm on the ground

11. And al-Masa overtook it and the domes of
al-Abdaliyya appeared to it in the mounds

12. Racing to get near to you another
Which you repelled with brilliant rising

13. Like a singing girl who saw you and turned away
Her newborn with the greenish hide

14. So stay with it and let the eye of protection watch over
Your place while events are tranquil

15. And you greeted the tomb in the morning with
One who strove for God in the manner of a servant

16. And you shortened the visit which is an opinion
Approved by those of wise counsel

17. And you gained two precious nights
Distributed for eternity without end

18. And I did not miss you when you were absent from me
But the secret of presence eluded me

19. How I tossed my glancing eye hoping
For the lightning of rejection from the clouds

20. Yet I was not granted success and if you had glimmered something
I would have come to you riders of the post

21. And from life's fatigue for its seeker
Is the goal's distance from the desirer

22. And in my company there is no harm if you wish
And is there any expanse like your embrace for seekers

23. And one hopeful will someday meet you
And after that find solace in stagnation

24. And nothing will console him about you and none
Can match you in existence

25. Safety of spirit, pleasant face
Little burden, and perfect generosity

26. And in this reproach I have no intention
But the market of poetry led it forth

27. But the occasion is too great that
I would confine it to a new permission

28. Though I have dispelled with it false claims
Imagined by the envious

29. For the dawning of your sun and my eclipse
By it is a trivial thing to me

30. So what did this supposer suppose
While your heart in the matter is witness

31. And when you landed we recalled
Your earlier descent of Jabal al-Jalut

32. So we said with God's opening is victory
And we said fortune is with my father Sa'id

33. So there flew from the sands the bird of divination
Affirming your resolve is increasing

34. And the saying proved true, so they have alighted
At your door hastily the delegations

35. Hoping for your pleasure, gracious return
And from you renewal of covenants

36. And they gifted on arrival something precious
Their most precious selves of smooth cheeks

37. So it is goodness that has come with reconciliation
And it is goodness in glorious mention

38. And there is no sin in uniting the religion
Or in your aim from any praiseworthy person

39. For you are among kings of ancient house
And in their manners the house of poetry

40. So your life remains extending
And your good fortune remains ascending

41. Peace, so long as the beloved keeps true to the pact
Or else like the dove's song to the echo

42. Or else like the breeze that blows gently in the evening
Upon delicate vegetation with fresh dew

43. Upon that goodness whose mention is fragrant
As the perfume from its clothes is fragrant

44. Dear treasure of a king who was always between chastity
And esteem acceptable in refusal and acceptance

45. With solid reason penetrating in matters
And pure dignity in its cleanliness unique

46. To lineage that none but her attained
And people have not had the likes after her

47. And natural generosity adorned with probity
From distance in words, deeds, and aims

48. So who is there for the poor and needy like her
And who is there like her to guard against miserable fate

49. She came from her origin inheriting every mercy
You see her blessed origin is in the garden of eternity

50. And He lengthened her life in safety and good fortune
And He did for her what would make her happy, He who ordains fortune
